Gundam UC: A Galactic Empire Built on Failure

After transmigrating as the younger twin brother of the Zabi family’s Kycilia, the protagonist grows up as a childhood friend of Char and his sister. When the System activates, he tries to use it to prevent Zeon Zum Deikun’s death and bring the two families together through marriage. But Deikun is still assassinated, and the protagonist nearly dies from the backlash. Realizing that the System cannot change fated outcomes, he gives up on that function and secretly investigates the cause of Deikun’s death instead. Char returns under an assumed name, and the protagonist presents evidence proving that someone else was behind the assassination, with Gihren indirectly involved. Char sets his sights on Gihren for revenge. When the One Year War breaks out, the protagonist uses blueprints from the System to grow stronger, but opposes Gihren’s atrocities. After breaking with Gihren, he is placed under house arrest. Under Char’s watch, Kycilia is killed by the White Base after recklessly charging into battle. His brother’s death and Zeon’s brutality leave the protagonist disillusioned, shifting his goal from changing the war to gathering power and saving lives. After Zeon’s defeat, he leads his loyal subordinates and technical staff in a retreat, secretly developing his forces with the System’s blueprints and building a Neo Zeon fleet far ahead of its time. In 0088, he returns and sweeps aside the old powers of the cosmos with his technological superiority. He consolidates his rule, repairs relations with the space colonies, and faces challenges from both within and without. In 0093, he joins forces with Char to destroy the Federation’s military strength. In 0096, he uses Laplace’s Box and the truth about Newtypes to completely destroy the Federation and establish Neo Zeon’s rule.
