In this world, the extraordinary are destined to die by their own authorities. This fate cannot be defied.
Witches die for love, schemers die for loyalty, travelers die trying to return home, and the Grim Reaper is trapped in the River of the Dead...
Twenty-two divine paths, twenty-two supreme powers. Each leads to unimaginable might, yet each is destined to end in self-destruction.
Shang Jianyao was an ordinary man until he inherited the bronze pocket watch his father left behind and stepped into this cruel game woven by fate. He became an extraordinary being on the Path of the Seeker of Secrets, gaining the ability to perceive hidden truths but also bearing the curse of “dying in the pursuit of knowledge.”
Yet as he delves deeper into the truth of the world, he discovers even greater mysteries entwined around him. His father may have been a “Wayfarer,” whose path’s ultimate paradox is “never returning home.” The “transmigrators” he meets have never truly left their homelands. And he himself seems to be both a pawn of fate and the only variable capable of breaking it...
When the “Seventh Seal” organization begins collecting relics belonging to powerful figures from every path, when the “Night Watchers” warn him not to peer into the end of time, and when the hands of the bronze pocket watch point to the final “0,” Shang Jianyao must make a choice: Will he submit to fate and meet the inevitable end shared by all extraordinary beings?
Or... become the paradox itself?
“The transmigrators never left home. But do you really know who you are?”
The writing is okay, but the work written by the author is okay at the beginning but not so good at the end. It may be because of the technology flow or the content is too dense and unclear. The full text looks like several parts are spliced together and there seems to be no outline. In fact, what makes me most curious is who is Yin Yu? Moreover, the first 700 loops are all the protagonist's imagination, so why are there no such people as his father, Chu Mu and others in the subsequent chapters? These are at professorial level and should be involved in these studies.
