She Hid Away the Whole Summer

[Cool, aloof campus heartthrob x timid younger schoolmate | aloof at first, clingy later | he only acts cute around her | secret crush comes true] Both virgins, happy ending

At sixteen, Yun Nian'an used her camera to secretly preserve an entire summer, along with the boy named Wen Xuyang.

He was the golden boy in everyone's eyes, while she was the least noticeable among all the people who liked him.

She thought this grand, silent crush would be sealed away forever with her youth.

Until years later, on a rainy night in London, the man she'd loved for so long stood drenched and red-eyed, trembling as he held out an iron box.

Inside, it was all him.

“Yun Nian'an,” he rasped, hot tears falling onto the back of her hand. “Tell me... what exactly did I miss?”

Later, Wen Xuyang remained cool and refined in public, but in private he did nothing but cling to her. He would call her when drunk, murmuring a pitiful plea:

“An'an, my head hurts. I need you to comfort me.”

“You have to be mine in this life and the next.”

It turns out the greatest good fortune is this: the person I secretly admired throughout my youth eventually came running to me, carrying all my secrets with him.
