[Transmigrate into a book + devoted couple + cannon-fodder character + revenge + money-loving noblewoman x young general]
The great novelist Zhao Siyu is on vacation, lying in bed and complaining about a new audiobook, when pain suddenly racks her body and everything goes black. When she wakes up, she discovers she's transmigrated!
And into the clichéd historical romance novel, A Pact for the Empire!
You think she's transmigrated into the heroine? No, no, no. She's become the inconspicuous Crown Princess, a cannon-fodder character who, after getting married, is dragged into the male and female leads' antics day after day.
Made to kneel and copy texts, left hungry, and tormented at every turn, she eventually meets a grim end by drowning.
But now that she's here, anything could happen!
So she studies and makes money at the same time, then realizes: why is earning money so easy? She just can't stop!
Along the way to getting rich, she sets her sights on a handsome young man.
It's not that she's shallow; he's just so charmingly handsome that she can't help herself!
After marrying the handsome young man, they travel south, head east, and return to the capital. They conquer new territory and expand their business empire along the way, until half the world's trade belongs to the Shen family.
But just as the two think the realm is at peace and the fighting is over for good, a sudden flood strikes the south. Forces lying in wait seize the opportunity to stir up trouble, unleashing a long-planned storm that engulfs the imperial court...
