This is our tenth year of marriage. We made it through the seven-year itch, but over the past two years, I’ve felt more and more exhausted. He hasn’t cheated. It’s my heart that has wandered away. He can’t support me financially or meet my emotional needs, and our tastes, spending habits, hobbies, and outlooks on life are gradually pulling us apart.
My husband was born in Henan and graduated from a vocational secondary school. I was born in Chongqing and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from a finance and economics university. That’s why I’ve named this story “Nanqing.” We met on a graduation trip, settled in Rongcheng after we married, and had a son. The rest of the story will recount how my husband and I met, fell in love, and grew to resent each other.
