The Light on the Road Home

This is a heartwarming story of redemption, growth, and family bonds. Seven-year-old Jiang Yuanyuan becomes a troubled child at an orphanage after her parents die in an accident. She steals, fights, and bristles with hostility until she meets Zhang Yang, a calm and disciplined martial arts instructor who was a close friend of her late mother.

With a mix of strictness and tenderness, Zhang Yang gradually guides the prickly Jiang Yuanyuan, later renamed Zhang Linlin, back onto the right path. From their initial clashes to growing dependence, from misunderstanding to understanding, the two build a deep mother-daughter bond as they learn to live together.
