[A war of resistance told in reverse + satisfying anti-Japanese power fantasy + decisive protagonist who values loyalty and love]
The genius mechanical engineer Zheng Yunlong is framed by a rival, loses his job, and gets dumped by his girlfriend. After drinking himself into a stupor, he transmigrates and becomes a medical student in France. He later joins the French Communist Party and fights in the Spanish Civil War. In 1937, he returns to China to join the War of Resistance Against Japan. Starting with the Defense of Shanghai, he donates weapons and supplies, saving lives on the operating table before taking up guns and cannons to kill Japanese invaders. He gathers scattered survivors and gradually makes his way from Shanghai to Nanjing, from the Battle of Xuzhou to the Defense of Jinan. He forms his own special forces unit and kills the Japanese invaders to deliver justice, fighting his way from Shandong to northwestern Shanxi, until he reaches Ping'an County and helps Li Yunlong take down Yamamoto Kazuki. He should have pressed on and wiped out the Japanese troops, but an enemy sniper catches him off guard. Luckily, he activates the System for National Salvation and Resistance, completing his reset.
When Zheng Yunlong comes to, he discovers that his war of resistance has been told in reverse…
It is a rare good book with detailed writing and delicate plot. It is a clear stream among anti-Japanese war literature. Without bragging, the system hardly participated in the fight against Japan. The author writes with heart, not just nonsense! It seems like I can't stop, keep going!
Well written, keep up the good work!
