The System Wants Me to Be a Chef, but I'm Getting More and More Irresistible

[Character Growth] [Lovecraftian] [System] [Dark Cuisine] [Decisive and Ruthless]

From the start, I'm strapped to a chopping block while a demon chef sharpens his knife, ready to soak my little brother in liquor.

Chen Bei panics, but he's bound to the Gourmet System!

[Ding! Newbie quest issued: Use your superb knife skills to perfectly prepare the “two-legged sheep” on the chopping block, making use of every last bit.]

Chen Bei: “???”

[Beginner recipe: Soak yourself in a medicinal bath of a hundred herbs to toughen your skin and make it chewy. The longer you marinate, the more delicious you'll be!]

[Advanced recipe: “Deep-fry” your body in heavenly spirit fire until it's golden, crispy, and fragrant. Friendly System reminder: Keep an eye on the heat~]

A single drop of blood makes a little demon's bloodline revert to its ancient form, astonishing the whole village!

A bowl of noodles leaves a demon king drooling and racing a thousand miles to get some!

Demon clan elder: “This boy is a natural treasure. Whoever gets him can prove the Dao and become a demon emperor!”

Demoness of the sacred ground: “Young Master Chen Bei, I'll gladly stoke your fire, if only you'll give me a drop of blood!”

Watching the prompts keep refreshing on the System panel, Chen Bei grins.

[Ding! You have seen through life and death and completed the hidden quest ‘The Self-Awareness of Tang Monk's Meat’! Reward: 5,000 points and one random recipe box!]

[Open the random recipe box?]

[Ding! Legendary recipe unlocked: The Lovecraftian Cookbook!]

[Friendly reminder: When you gaze into the abyss, don't forget there may be something else simmering in the pot…]

“Want to eat me?”

Chen Bei grins. “Hehehe…”
