Nine Tribulations, Heart's Burial

Lu Zhao, a poor-born youth, obtains half of a heaven-defying cultivation art, unaware that he has long been caught in a cycle of nine reincarnations. Su Li, a successor of the Medicine King Valley, uses her life as the price to help him defy the Heavenly Dao, only to perish in the end. When Lu Zhao reaches the summit, he finally discovers that the memories he lost contain the tenderness with which she burned through nine lifetimes.
