Has the Top-Tier Star Made It Official Today?

“That little dog was the most precious gift I ever found.”

On a stormy night, Bai Lu, a rising star, comes across an injured stray dog at a film set. Forgetting all about her image, she rushes through the rain to get it medical care, only to run into the hottest top-tier star in showbiz, Ao Ruipeng, at the pet hospital.

The two meet through their efforts to save the dog, but a secretly snapped photo of their “late-night rendezvous” sets the trending charts ablaze. Their agencies demand that they keep their distance, but fate brings them together again: they’re chosen to co-star in the year’s biggest drama, Promise of Mountains and Rivers!

On set, he’s the “aloof heartthrob” with impressive acting skills, while she’s a dedicated, hardworking star. In front of the cameras, they’re the perfect co-stars. Away from them, he remembers how she likes her coffee, and she discovers an interview of hers from years ago saved on his phone.

From “playing along for work” to “letting fiction become reality,” from “coworkers on set” to “unable to hide their feelings,” there’s a repeatedly botched kissing scene, a game of truth that turns into a test of their feelings, and a late-night balcony conversation after the wrap party…

“What if I told you that I want Ao Ruipeng to be looking at Bai Lu?”

With the whole internet shipping them, their former manager maliciously claiming it’s “just publicity,” and a rival plotting to smear them, can they protect their most genuine feelings in the dazzling yet dangerous world of showbiz?
