Lu Lian happened upon a book called The Investiture of the Gods Notebook. All he had to do was write down a name, and anything could ascend to godhood.
But at first, every being he deified wanted to kill him.
The woman he deified: “Kill you, and I'll be the only true god!”
The cat he deified: “Give me back my egg!”
The mosquito he deified: “Master, surely it's not too much to have a little blood?”
