The late Ming in this story is in turmoil. A mysterious, powerful faction has joined forces with the jianghu martial world to manipulate imperial power from the shadows, while one palace woman after another grows ambitious with the backing of forces behind the scenes. Long Xia, a special forces instructor from modern China, pursues his beloved wife into the Ming dynasty and transmigrates into the body of the fifth prince, Zhu Youjian. Facing chaos at court, with his reincarnated wife Zhang Yan'er about to become his own sister-in-law, Long Xia invokes the name of “a dream sent by the founding emperor” and uses an iron fist to bring order to the imperial palace, helping his elder brother secure the throne. Afterward, he builds an army from thousands of eunuchs and palace maids, strengthens the military and arms industry, gathers people and supplies, and sets sail to rebuild the realm of the sun and moon in Ryukyu. At last, the dragon that was once trapped carves out a new map of the seas for China amid the vast waves.
