Struck by a mysterious notebook on the subway, Lin Yuan transmigrates into the unfinished Cthulhu apocalypse novel Deep Abyss Whispers. A gigantic scarlet eye hangs in the sky, twisted lumps of flesh crawl across the streets, and eerie lines of blood-red writing keep appearing in the notebook in his hands: “Don't trust anything, including me.” Just as he thinks he has found the altar that can end the apocalypse, he discovers that he is merely a “narrative patch” the author uses to fill plot holes, and every death restarts an even more terrifying cycle. Countless versions of “himself” from parallel timelines meet here, trapped in an endless narrative corridor. Under the Abyss's gaze, can they tear apart the “novel” imprisoning them all and find a real way out?
