The Five Nations of Emotion

The modern-day good-for-nothing writer **Ye Wuhen** (the protagonist) is eating instant noodles late at night when a bamboo-slip copy of the **Classic of Mountains and Seas** sucks him into another world: the **Realm of Emotions**.

Here, five emotional kingdoms hold sway: **the Flame Kingdom of Joy, the Gold Kingdom of Anger, the Water Kingdom of Sorrow, the Wood Kingdom of Delight, and the Earth Kingdom of Grief**. The people of each kingdom are governed by emotional laws, and their cultivation methods are bizarre in every imaginable way.

Ye Wuhen awakens the **“Emotion Devouring Physique,”** which lets him absorb other people’s emotions to grow stronger. The side effect is… that he turns into a reaction meme?!

He adventures through all five kingdoms, befriends the comical divine beast **“Hip-Hop Dragon,”** and charms the holy maidens of every land (**Tang Zhuozhuo of the Crimson Laugh Sect, Princess Lei Wushang of the Sorrow Kingdom, and Qin Xian Yin Ruhuan of the Delight Kingdom**). In the end, he gathers the emotional origin stones of all five kingdoms, exposes the conspiracy of the ancient Venerable of the Seven Emotions, and becomes the ruler of the Realm of Emotions!
