Tian Yi unexpectedly transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes an adventurer who explores ancient tombs. After an accident wipes out all his possessions inside a tomb, he has no choice but to cooperate with the authorities and enter a dangerous burial site to investigate traces of an ancient civilization. These tombs are perilous, though, and only people with special abilities and exceptionally auspicious fates can make it out alive. He has neither, so he is doomed. Fortunately, the System arrives. It lets him choose a teammate who isn't too powerful to accompany him into the tomb, with any rewards split evenly between them. So he chooses Uncle Jiu, and the story begins.
