Above the court, undercurrents are surging, and old and new forces are competing; in the marketplace, merchants gather, and strange people and strange things happen frequently. The heroine Chen Hong lives in Chang'an due to family troubles. By fate, she meets Li Le, a nobleman of the royal family.
