The Flirtatious Widow Meets a Hopeless Romantic Scholar

[Both devoted to one another + equally matched powerhouses + scheming pursuit of his wife + sex before love + devoted husband + lovesick and jealous]

Shen Mianxu isn’t some innocent little bunny. She’s a cunning, ruthless fox. To escape her parasitic parents in the Shen family, she schemes to marry into the Lu family to bring good fortune. After Lu Changnian dies of illness, she takes charge of the Lu family’s business, buying grain, trading tea, and handling all kinds of complicated business affairs. Though her frame is delicate, she holds up half the sky in the capital.

One day, on a whim, beautiful and delicate Shen Mianxu spends a night of passion with an elegant, handsome scholar.

When the scholar passes the imperial examination and earns the title of tanhualang, he comes looking for her, but Shen Mianxu pretends not to know him.

The tanhualang pins Shen Mianxu against the head of the bed, his eyes bloodshot. “Sister Shen, will you marry me?”
