Genshin Impact: I’m a Bug Debugger

“Zero,” chief QA engineer for Code Abyss, crosses over into a different world called Teyvat at the very last second before his game shuts down, bringing along his debugging tools and an uncanny nose for “bugs”! 4 In his eyes, Mondstadt, city of wind and freedom, Liyue, land of stone and contracts, and even the elemental powers and Visions of the entire world are lines of “code” waiting to be analyzed and “logic flaws” waiting to be uncovered. 2

While other adventurers fret over domains they can’t beat and tear their hair out over puzzles they can’t solve, “Zero” achieves a perfect infiltration by exploiting a “monster AI pathing bug,” finds hidden treasure using a “texture error,” and even tries “debugging” the energy parameters of a Vision to achieve unexpected results. He discovers that this seemingly stable world is full of “beneficial bugs” waiting to be “exploited.”

As he faces the Fatui Harbingers’ schemes, the Abyss Order’s relentless pursuit, and the “Heavenly Principles” high above Celestia that keep all of Teyvat running, how will this “bug debugger” from another world use his one-of-a-kind, “GM-perspective” (sort of) to team up with companions of all kinds, including Jean, Diluc, Zhongli, and Raiden Ei, and embark on a wondrous “debugging” adventure that overturns everything the continent believes and repairs, or rather, “breaks,” the world? 5

“Warning: Unknown code injection detected in Teyvat’s laws... Attempting compatibility... Compatibility failed! Initiating ‘World-Class Bug Hunt’ mode!” The exclusive debugging interface of “Zero” flickers with a dangerous yet enchanting glow.
