Obsessive Love: A Short Story Collection

A few things to know before reading:

1. This is not a strong-female-lead story. It is written in first person, and the protagonist has no name.

Some worlds have no romance pairing, because I sometimes find that the story has gone off track while I’m writing.

Put yourself in my shoes: those tender gazes and cautious approaches are all directed at me.

All kinds of male leads, from aloof upperclassmen to childhood friends next door, from gentle doctors to scheming CEOs, will all fall in love with me, or, rather, with “you.”

Their love isn’t possessive confinement, nor is it an aggressive male gaze. It’s a tender gaze and a restrained approach. No matter how much they long for you, they carefully hold themselves back and quietly protect you after taking the first step.

The aloof, distant top student will write out the solutions on every test I do badly on and quietly keep an eye on me. He’ll secretly get jealous over snacks a guy gives me, then bring me a whole pile of snacks the next day, telling me I can’t give them to anyone else or eat anyone else’s. If there’s anything I want, I should just tell my desk mate, the top student.

My ex, whom I once looked down on for being poor, is reborn after I abandon him. Even though he’s become so twisted that he wants to lock me by his side, he still makes himself let go in the dead of night and says hoarsely, “...Don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you.”

There are no painful misunderstandings in this story, only unabashed favoritism.

If I happen to write a scene that hurts the heroine, I’ll just let her shine on her own.

I only write sweet romances. I will never let “me” suffer.
