The story takes place during episode 24 of Nexus.
After Jun Himeya's great battle with Gumoroki, he tells Komon that light is a bond, then vanishes into the light and arrives in the world of Equestria Girls. He obtains the Evolutionary Trust again and draws it without hesitation. The light of Nexus remains with him forever.

My biggest purpose in reading this book is to study how a two-minute eqg short film was written into a 4,000-word plot.
It's great, even though it's finished.
