[Miaojiang Gu-poison enchantress vs. handsome, tragic, and purehearted young marquis]
Chiying, the Holy Maiden of Nanzhao, secretly travels to the Central Plains in search of her birth father. Under the alias Ghost Doctor Thirteenth Lady, she is said to be able to bring the dead back to life and restore flesh to bare bones. But she has a strange temperament and only treats patients if they catch her eye.
One day, after finishing a house call, Chiying passes by a mass grave and finds Yang Yixin barely clinging to life. When she discovers traces of Miaojiang Gu worms on him, she takes him back to Jiuzhen Hall. She intends to keep him close as a living test subject, but it turns out he has another identity.
A deal, several deadly traps, and a grudge spanning two generations are about to come to light...
[Little scene]
“Hey, handsome, let's make a deal.”
“What do you want?”
“I want your heart.”
Yang Yixin turns to leave. Chiying grabs him.
“Hey, hey, don't go! It's business. Who ever said you couldn't negotiate?”
