Zhu Yin, a former online novelist, was betrayed by her boyfriend and left heartbroken. She went to Cherry Ridge Village, her best friend's hometown, to heal. Hidden in the mountains on the edge of the city, the village is famous for its cherry trees that cover the hills and for Floating Light Temple. When Zhu Yin first arrived, Wei Yanbai, who was practicing Buddhist austerities at the temple, caught her secretly picking its cherries. That was how two people who had both been hurt by life met.
