Introduction
During the war-torn years of the Anti-Japanese War, Lin Yu transformed into the Japanese pharmacist Yuichi Matsumoto, lurking under the "identity cover" created for him by the military commander, holding a potassium cyanide capsule and dancing on the tip of a knife. After meeting the mysterious Japanese translator Su Yao, the two tested and redeemed each other in the bloody storm of Nanjing. From the thrilling mutual rescue in the Japanese arsenal to the life-and-death struggle to solve the poison gas conspiracy, they used intelligence as their blade in the undercurrent of the enemy camp to find common beliefs in the fog of lies and truth.
The cheers of victory in the Anti-Japanese War have not yet dissipated, and the dark clouds of civil war are coming again. Lin Yu and Su Yao, the newlyweds, continued to join the hidden front by relying on their contacts and experience accumulated in the Kuomintang military command. They disguised themselves and went deep into the tiger's den, and engaged in thrilling dealings with the enemy while dismantling the bomb that blew up the Wanjiang Bridge; they deciphered secret messages, passed on intelligence, and smashed the conspiracies of the remnants of the Kuomintang again and again.
As the years passed, when the dawn of peace finally illuminated the earth, they retreated from the thrilling front lines to behind the scenes, teaching everything they had learned throughout their lives to cultivate a new generation of hidden front fighters to protect the new republic. In the tide of the times, the two rings carrying the memories of life and death have always complemented each other, witnessing the legend they wrote with their blood and loyalty, as well as the secret and great years that will never fade.

I listened to the book, maybe it was read by AI, but it felt a bit bland, and there were few characters shown in the book. There were only male and female protagonists fighting together, which didn't feel very meaningful. But out of patriotism, I give the author a five-star rating and hope it can be improved next time. Come on!
