There are only 169 days left until the college entrance exam! But...
"What the heck? I've become a hero?! ...But isn't there something a little off about this faction?"
Lin Ye is summoned as a hero on the side of the Demon King’s Army. He goes from being a cowardly slacker who tries to defect to witnessing firsthand how war devastates innocent civilians, gradually awakening a desire to protect others. Using his high school knowledge and the power of a hero, he struggles to survive against impossible odds. Along the way, he meets Aila, a dark-elf girl who guards him in silence, and an abyssal elf elder who sees through the truth. He also crosses paths with Karen, a human hero on the opposing side, and the two go from mortal enemies to reluctant allies.
As the truth behind the world's corruption comes to light, it becomes clear that the war between the two armies is nothing but a farce staged by an outer void to choose its pawns. Lin Ye finally breaks through the divide between the factions, leading the Demon King's Army and the human peace faction to join forces against their common enemy. The slacker boy who only wanted to go home grows into the sole guardian of both worlds.
He must end the endless hatred and bloodshed between the two worlds, while also protecting the way home. Between saving the world and taking his college entrance exam, he will forge a hero's path all his own.
