An accident turns Lin Yanqiu from a modern archaeologist into an “outcast” in the world of orcs. She has neither sharp claws nor a powerful beast form, only a pair of feet regarded as a “sign of degeneration.”
Survival is her first battle.
She must use modern knowledge to face a primitive world: make fire, craft pottery, tame beasts, and evade natural disasters. When she saves three orc warriors abandoned by their clans, she begins to realize she might be able to change this world: Shuo, the stoic wolf; Yin, the mysterious snake-clan assassin; and Zhuo, the defiant leopard.
Civilization is her second battle.
Orc society believes that “beast forms reign supreme,” and the knowledge and technology she brings are seen as a desecration of tradition. The Bloodclaw Tribe brands her a heretic, while the snake-clan schemer Shixin sows discord. Yet her most dangerous enemy is Tu, a rabbit woman pretending to be an ally. Lurking at the heroine’s side, she waits for a chance to incite rebellion, determined to destroy this “plague of civilization.”
And she must win this war.
Because failure means not only her death, but that the orc world will remain forever trapped in savagery and slaughter.
[One-line summary]
“Transmigrating to the orc world, she didn’t become anyone’s mate. She became the mother of an entire civilization.”
When fire is kindled, writing is born, and institutions are established, who would still dare say that a people who walk on two legs cannot build a civilization?
The idea is great, but the writing is amateurish. If you can’t get into it, feel free to skip it.
