A Love Story Outline for Monsters

Su Xiaotao, a veterinary student nearing graduation, finally lands a well-paid internship at a pet rehabilitation center called Paws and Rest. The owner is a gentle, handsome veterinarian, all her coworkers are stunning, and even the pets are unusually clever. She thinks she's hit the jackpot, until one night she catches her boss turning into a nine-tailed fox. And the Ragdoll cat that's always rubbing against her legs turns out to be the ancient divine beast Bai Ze...

As it turns out, Su Xiaotao is the reincarnation of an Earth Saintess who fell ten thousand years ago. The "people" and "pets" at the veterinary clinic are all famous great demons from the Classic of Mountains and Seas. They've searched for her for ten thousand years, and now that they've finally found her, they're afraid of scaring her away, so they've disguised themselves as ordinary people and pets to get close to her.

When the truth comes out...

The nine-tailed fox boss panics: "Xiaotao, let me explain!"

The Bai Ze cat bristles: "Meow! No, this venerable one can explain!"

Her coworker, a Golden Crow, flaps his wings: "We're doomed! What if she thinks we're perverts?"

Su Xiaotao: "...So, are you paying my salary in demon-world currency?"
