[Post-apocalypse + disasters + cataclysm + technology]
What harm can uncontrolled carbon emissions cause?
It all begins with a storm sweeping across the Southern Hemisphere! A super-cold storm system suddenly forms, blanketing the Southern Hemisphere, and makes landfall on Antarctica, carrying vast quantities of seawater and fierce hurricanes.
Rainstorms of seawater rapidly erode and melt the ice sheet. The violent hurricanes, like knives scraping away bone, strip off the surface snow and ice, causing the outer edges of the glacial continent to split apart and collapse into the sea. Sea levels rise rapidly, affecting the entire globe.
The entire Tan-Lu Fault ruptures, and the Honghu military base falls;
Volcanoes around the world, including those in Beiwailing, erupt, triggering a global crisis;
The combined tidal forces of the moon and sun trigger massive earthquakes worldwide.
After the disaster, humanity’s habitable land is drastically reduced and encroached upon. Famine, epidemics, and shortages of supplies leave humanity’s survival hanging by a thread.
How can humanity survive and spread the seeds of civilization across the world once more?
“To put it more vividly, the Earth is like a ball of dough. The surging waves stirred up by tidal forces are like a pair of invisible giant hands, kneading it over and over at regular intervals. When vast amounts of glacial ice melt into the sea, the force of this kneading grows stronger. Once the balance of forces between the tectonic plates is completely broken, the round ball of dough that is Earth will be squashed and ruined.
That is the root cause behind disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis. Ah! When you think about it, the Earth beneath our feet really is incredibly fragile!”
The earth is a dry dough, and the sea water is two invisible giant hands. The idea is very novel. The concept of the future doomsday, a disaster movie, is full of profound thoughts and worries about human beings, the earth, climate change and disasters. The idea is unique and worth learning more about!!!
