Immortal with an Undying Body: Xing Sifeng & Esper Hall Director: Qi Yu
And the other survivors
In 3045, a mysterious virus swept across the human world. Those infected would die within a week, not from illness. After death, there was an 80% chance they would become vicious, mindless, hideous monsters.
Could they have fish heads and snake bodies? Could they be four-horned cows covered in long hair? Could they be sheep with monkey faces and hands, but no tails? Or perhaps pure-white skeleton people, without flesh or blood?
Death became an everyday occurrence. Those who managed to avoid infection in the early days were called Beta Espers.
What about later on?
After the Beta virus evolved, would Beta Espers even still exist?
In “3345,” what could have caused a virus that had vanished for three hundred years to suddenly return?
Because of this resurrected virus, four members of the YT group and four members of the Esper Hall were drawn into a selection trial.
“What! The Esper Tower selection trial?”
“Can we skip it?”
Endless darkness closed in on them. “I’m afraid not!”
“The Esper Tower has fifty floors, each one different. Defeat the guardian on the top floor, and you can destroy the tower.”
“Remember, death is not the answer. Saving lives is the way out!”
The first floor… the second floor… the fourth floor… the twenty-eighth floor…
The fifteenth floor: “Break the rules and head to the final floor!”
