(This is a historical romance with angst, multiple story arcs, and bad endings, sweet at first and tragic later. Most of the stories end badly; I accidentally tagged it wrong.)
1. First world: noblewoman from a prestigious family vs. sickly young gentleman, He keeps his distance, coughing up blood. “Stay back! I'm a VIP premium member of the King of Hell's club. Touch me and you'll get a one-way trip to the underworld!” She sneers and downs two gulps of deadly poison. “What a coincidence! We're group-buying members now. Buy one, get one free. Neither of us gets to die alone!”
2. Second world: aloof goddess vs. emperor skilled in political scheming
As she fades away for the sake of all living beings, she shouts, “Forget me!” He clutches an urn of ashes and makes a scene in court. “Issue an imperial decree! Everyone in the empire must mourn for three hours every day for the love I've lost! If the court historian dares to write this as a bad ending, I'll make him experience a real bad ending!” Years later, when the emperor dies, he greedily downs 108 bowls of Granny Meng's Forgetfulness Soup. Granny Meng sighs. “You've had 108 bowls and still haven't forgotten?” He wipes away a tear. “I can't forget her! Since she left, I can't even write my memorials properly. All I can think about is the way she called me a ‘tyrant’...”
3. Third world: transmigrated heroine with a System that helps her become a wise ruler vs. foolish crown prince
She stares in despair at the crown prince drooling. “System, you call this the chosen one? He's practically a VIP annual member of the idiot club!” But after she gives him a pill that awakens his wisdom, the clear-minded crown prince pushes her away with red-rimmed eyes. “Run! Before the medicine takes effect, I don't want you to see me crying and begging you not to leave!”
4. Fourth world: orphaned girl from a fallen family vs. young general with a disability in both legs...
