A work of fan fiction that aims to stay as close as possible to the latest Arknights setting. Using the Yan Empire's pacification of the northern plateau as its starting point, it explores the power struggles among different factions, as well as the confusion and choices faced by those caught in the storm at the heart of the era. I took a quick look at this year's story, and it's pretty good. Changing Yan Li to Yan Wen is a nice plot point we can work in. Chen's doing better too. Next, I plan to introduce a character from the Sui faction. This Grand Commandant really wants to die, so I'll have to work out a way to make that fit. The original Grand Commandant's motives weren't convincing enough, haha. Yan Yao, keep it up and give those admirable old fossils a push. The little girl who appeared at the end doesn't look very old, so I won't introduce her for now.
