Bai Xiaoxiao is a once-in-a-century prodigy at the Beast Taming Academy, an absolute master of ice and snow, and the Bai family’s treasured daughter. She has everything, except that as graduation approaches, she still lacks a beast companion worthy of her. Everyone assumes she’ll choose a dragonkin or phoenix-blooded beast and forge the strongest possible contract.
Yet in a corner of the Beast Taming Center, she stops in front of a lazy creature that looks utterly weary of life and uninterested in everything. To everyone’s astonishment, the icy campus beauty signs a contract and carries home the “useless” beast nobody else would give a second glance.
She thinks she’s the master, but instead becomes his personal “poop scooper.” The little fellow named “An” claims her softest carpet and warmest embrace, and even sneaks into her dreams at night. As she grows accustomed to this “sweet burden” and vows to protect his peaceful life forever, an accident lets her see him yawn casually. The space ahead of him silently shatters like a mirror, then vanishes into nothingness. It turns out she didn’t bring home a pet, but a sleeping god powerful enough to make the world tremble.
