Everyone in the cultivation world knows:
The “Nightburning Demon Lord” Xiao Jin and the “Cold Jade Gentleman” Shen Zheyu are sworn enemies. One is a fire-type sword cultivator with a temper like a thunderclap; the other is a water-type zither cultivator who hides a knife behind his smile. Whenever they meet, they fight with spells; whenever they fight, they tear down mountains; and after tearing down a mountain, they trade taunts for another three hundred rounds.
Until one day...
A sudden upheaval rocks the cultivation world. The Heavenly Dao issues an edict: the two “sworn enemies” must become Dao companions and endure a love tribulation together, or lose all their cultivation!
Xiao Jin (furious): “I'd rather cripple my cultivation than be tied to this hypocrite!”
Shen Zheyu (smiling as he strokes his zither): “Fellow Daoist Xiao, your ears are red.”
And so the entire cultivation world is forced to watch an absurd farce of “sword debates turning into flirting”:
- Every time Xiao Jin draws his sword to “discuss the Dao,” Shen Zheyu plays “The Phoenix Seeks Its Mate,” making him so angry he can barely hold on to his sword.
- Shen Zheyu “accidentally” falls under a love curse, and Xiao Jin curses him as he deserves it while racing to the demon lair in the middle of the night to find an antidote.
- The two are forced to share a cave residence. When Xiao Jin practices his swordsmanship in the middle of the night and wakes Shen Zheyu, Shen Zheyu knocks him out the door with a pillow...
The entire cultivation world:
“You call yourselves sworn enemies? That's clearly flirting!”
In the end...
Xiao Jin pins Shen Zheyu against the wall, gritting his teeth. “Try flirting with me again, and see what happens!”
Shen Zheyu chuckles. “Gladly.” (He follows up by casting a silencing spell and kissing him.)
The story is very interesting, but a little annoying. Except for the first few chapters about leisure and becoming a god, there are troubles in almost every subsequent chapter. It feels like you can't kill even if you kill me. It fails over and over again, and it fails three times. Moreover, the opponent always likes to say "you actually", "how dare you", "you actually". The relationship between the two of them is very good, and the writing is delicate.
It's beautiful and beautiful. I like the character setting very much. The author has more ❤️ ❤️
