During the May Day holiday, Ming Qi was wondering where to go for a stroll when he heard a coworker say that Yonghe Temple was good for making wishes. So he decided to go make a wish and see if he could get lucky for once.
When the holiday ended, Ming Qi found a puppy on his way home from work. It was filthy, painfully thin, and covered in wounds of all sizes. As a virtuous young person of modern China, Ming Qi couldn't bear to leave it behind, so he gave it a home.
After buying food to fill its belly, taking it to the hospital for treatment, and cleaning it up, Ming Qi carried the dog home, exhausted. He collapsed onto his bed and fell asleep. Half dreaming, half awake, he seemed to see the dog he'd brought home floating in the air, glowing with golden light as it asked him:
"You saved me, and I want to repay you. Would you like to never have to work again? Would you like to have more money than you could ever spend? I can give you all of that! Come with me!"
When Ming Qi woke up in another world and saw the run-down temple before him, his world came crashing down!
In short, it's the story of one person and a Heavenly Dao, two beings stumbling their way toward godhood amid one chaotic disaster after another.
The story is very interesting, attractive and exciting.
