The Yin Talisman's Record of Demon Subjugation

This is an age overrun by vengeful ghosts. Every night after ten, unknown monsters crawl out from dark corners. Their bodies are pitch-black, their eyes blood-red, and the stench of blood around them is nauseating.

By chance, Zhou Qian, the Holy Lord of humanity, discovered a kind of stone that could repel the monsters. He named it Holy Qian Stone and used it to lead humanity in resisting the monsters and establish the Qian Kingdom. He drove the monsters beyond the Imperial Pass, a barrier much like the Great Wall that enclosed the Qian Kingdom. {The Imperial Pass is built primarily from Holy Qian Stone.}

A thousand years later, after a millennium of wind and rain, the energy within the Holy Qian Stone was exhausted. The monsters outside the Imperial Pass began to awaken one after another. Along with the resurgence of the uncanny, humanity once again found itself in peril. The creatures that had awakened were even more powerful.

A thousand years later, [Zhao Xi] inherited the Maoshan tradition, and through it discovered another way to destroy vengeful ghosts.
