The Immortal’s Files: 1998

While dealing with a late-night “corpse uprising” at a funeral home, Ma Nanxing discovers that a bullet-riddled, decaying body still has a faint heartbeat. The forensic report shows that its blood sample is an exact DNA match for Kuang Guohua, an anti-Japanese martyr who died 60 years ago.

A demon-exorcising big sister and an ascetic zombie police detective, bound together across a thousand years, plus episodic cases in the style of Soul Ferryman and Oriental aesthetics on a par with Rattan.
