There is conflict, but the characters are not well created. Why do the elves and dwarves suddenly run over to help the protagonist, and why do they obey the protagonist's orders? He is obviously an ally but not a vassal. Can he be given direct command? Do they not doubt the protagonist's command at all? Do they trust the protagonist so much? This character is not well developed!
