Karmic Merit in the Red: I Farm Points in a BE Script by Doing the Opposite

Leave your brain at the door and enjoy every second! “Warning! Your bound ‘Karma Credit System’ has been activated, ” After office worker Wen Jinyan attempted suicide and failed, she found herself saddled with a defective System that claimed it used to be the Supreme God, but had since fallen to the level of a “karma loan machine.” It needed energy to return to its peak. She needed karma to defy fate and change her life. The System asked, “Would you like to reverse time and rewrite your predetermined ending?” Wen Jinyan said, “Put it in plain language.” The System replied, “Want to be born into a life of privilege? Go save other unlucky souls like you.” Wen Jinyan said, “…Maybe I’ll pass.” The System said, “Sorry, the ‘Extreme Challenge’ package has been selected automatically.” And so When the [Wicked Concubine System] ordered her to throw the imperial court into chaos, she countered by presenting a map of lands beyond the sea. “Your Majesty, Yingzhou produces miraculous herbs that prolong life. Why not send an envoy on a ‘friendly exchange’?” When the [Shady Production Crew] tried to set up the real heiress, she turned the set into a variety show and livestreamed the director leaping into a mud pit. “The audience loves this stuff. Leave the ratings to me!” When a [Powerful Family Alliance] tried to force her into a business marriage, she whipped out a genetic test. “There’s a chromosomal abnormality. Does your company need a consultant on IVF technology?” When the Heavenly Dao announced that anyone who earned enough karma could be promoted to a Plane Supervisor, Wen Jinyan promptly burned the offer letter. “Work for someone else? No. I want to be the client!” No romance. The heroine is sweet on the outside but calculating underneath; the System is both friend and foe. Expect trope subversion, mind games, and outrageous schemes. Don’t read if that’s not your thing. Also known as: My System and I Spent Our Lives Trying to Screw Each Other Over
