The Fourth Calamity in the Immortal Realm

In the cultivation world of Xuanzhou, spiritual energy grows ever thinner, and most of the sects that once flourished have fallen into decline. The protagonist’s Qinglan Sect is one such insignificant sect, tucked away in the remote, barren Blackstone Mountains. Its gates are crumbling, its disciples scattered, and all that remain are a young sect leader of mediocre talent and an elderly, chronically ill Grand Elder. The entire cultivation world is fraught with danger: not only do demon beasts attack and demonic cultivators lurk, but powerful sects also exploit and swallow up smaller ones. Before transmigrating, Su Ming was a veteran programmer at a notorious overwork-driven game company on Earth and a hardcore fan of online xianxia games. He died suddenly after endless overtime spent grinding away at a project. The original owner, despairing over the sect’s poverty and his hopeless prospects for cultivation, accidentally ate poisonous wild fruit and died, allowing Su Ming to transmigrate into his body. With the help of a mysterious System called the “Realistic Cultivation Sect Leader Simulator,” he can project the consciousness of people from Earth, known as players, into spirit bodies generated by the System. They arrive in the cultivation world as players and help him build up the sect. Believing they are playing a groundbreaking, fully immersive VR cultivation game, the players set off a farcical story full of laughs and absurdity.
