[Rebirth + Historical Era + Hunting + One Heroine]
Wu Youze dies in the ICU, consumed by guilt over his wife...
In his previous life, after being expelled from the production team, his personality changed completely. He beat his wife and children, then ran up huge gambling debts. To repay them and win a place back on the production team, he sold his wife to Village Chief Wang Yong for a night.
But his wife couldn’t bear the humiliation. After biting off one of Wang Yong’s ears, she threw herself against a wall and died.
Furious, Wang Yong reported him for raping a female educated youth. Afraid of going to prison, Wu Youze fled the village overnight with his two children. With nowhere to go, the children froze to death one winter night.
He struggled through a lonely life on his own. Fortunately, the reforms eventually improved things, but even when he finally had everything, he was still consumed by endless guilt and regret over his wife and children. In the end, he died of kidney failure.
When he wakes again, he finds himself back in the past, on the day his wife was humiliated by Wang Yong and Wang Yong’s mistress, a female educated youth, tried to seduce him...
