"Girl at the Internet Cafe" is a medium-length story that I began to conceive in 2011 and was not completed until 2025. The story was inspired by my early workplace experience. Shu Yuting, who comes from a mountain village in Guizhou, met Chen Mo, a working young man, by chance at an Internet cafe. The two started their relationship by teaching typing. They went through many tests such as falling in love and cohabitation, miscarriage and quarrels, cancer and workplace turmoil, and finally broke through and achieved a double harvest of career and love. The story interweaves personal destiny and cultural heritage with a "dual-line" narrative, showing the epic struggle of contemporary youth to persevere and reconstruct values in the 996 workplace ecology and cultural collision. The creation incorporates my personal observations and expectations of the migrant workers. I hope that this story, full of pain and hope, can allow readers to see ordinary people's persistence in their ideals and their yearning for a better life in the tide of the times. I also wish that all those working hard in the city can find their own light.

"Internet Cafe Girl" is a realistic masterpiece full of humanistic care. It transcends the format of ordinary romance novels and embeds love stories into grand issues such as intangible inheritance, urban survival, and women's health, showing a strong sense of mission for the times. The author dissects the abyss of human nature with delicate brushstrokes, and uses Miao embroidery's "broken thread embroidery" philosophy to give beauty to the cracks. Finally, in the dialogue between tradition and modernity, individual and era, he completes a tribute to the resilience of life. The novel is like a contemporary urban "Along the River During the Qingming Festival", with both the neon-lit steel forest and the eternal warmth of the fire pit.
The story of the novel is fascinating and the description of the characters is very close to life. In particular, the protagonists Chen Mo and Shu Yuting are representatives of our migrant workers, but many of us migrant workers cannot learn from their advantages!
"Internet Cafe Girl" is set in Shenzhen and tells the story of Chen Mo and Shu Yuting, who first met and fell in love in an Internet cafe, experienced family obstruction, disease torture, workplace crisis, and finally were reborn in career and family. The novel spans more than ten years and uses delicate writing to describe the growth and perseverance of the two protagonists in the tide of the times. It integrates multiple themes such as love, family affection, workplace struggle, and the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, showing the resilience and brilliance of humanity in the face of adversity.
