[Crime-solving, killer-hunting, poker-faced police captain × two-faced intern, nine-year age gap]
When Lu Mingsheng pushed open the door, he saw the girl’s hands covered in blood. Beneath her lowered lashes, there wasn’t a trace of fear in her eyes.
The case of the Qin Jianhua couple became the biggest cold case in Beicheng, sealed away in the files. Yet it also seemed to set several young people on a path toward the darkness before dawn.
Years later, a beautiful junior with a sweet voice joined the team. Everyone doted on her, except Lu Mingsheng, who made things difficult for her and shut her out at every turn.
Before her internship was even over, Lu Yanfei was transferred elsewhere. Just when everyone thought Lu Mingsheng would be pleased, the cold-faced man shamelessly showed up in the director’s office to demand her back. “The case isn’t closed! The team’s short-staffed, and that girl surnamed Lu has to stay!”
“Weren’t you the one who wanted her gone?”
“I changed my mind.”
“Oh, sorry. She’s the one who wants to leave now.”
Lu Yanfei’s eyes were bloodshot. Blood stained the floor, and the hand clutching a small knife trembled. “Lu Mingsheng, will you believe me?”
The truth is woven through one cold case after another.
But behind those cases lies an unsolved mystery about human nature.
Good and evil are separated by a single thought. Some people will stop at nothing to satisfy their selfish desires, while others give everything they have for justice, however long delayed.
Theme: Evil hidden in plain sight will ultimately face justice.
The story is clear and the characters are three-dimensional. It feels a bit like in a movie. It's actually pretty good to watch, but it's still being updated. The protagonist Lu Yanfei killed her adoptive parents and fell into a haze. When her old crush reappeared, she thought she was greeted by hope, but she didn't expect to push her into darkness again... Lu Mingsheng always thought she was the murderer, but when he really delved into this unsolved case, he discovered that everything was a conspiracy. Deception, speculation, suspicion. An amazing conspiracy organized by the evil forces using people's hearts is revealed in one case after another... The deaths of Qin Jianhua and his wife were involved in major cases, which also reflected the darkness on the other side of society. Several young police officers were not afraid of the evil forces, and their brave confrontation reflected the positive side. I hope Lu Yanfei can step out of the haze and welcome his own sunshine...
Very nice. Very nice writing.
