(Apologies, this is my first novel.)
[Mutual devotion + reunion after years apart + both leads’ first love, one-on-one romance + happy ending]
“If you could do it all over again, would you go back and make up for your regrets?”
While sorting through old belongings, An Lingxia, an ordinary college student, accidentally opens her long-sealed high school diary and returns to that brief summer when she secretly loved him.
Armed with a “regret eraser,” she resolves to rewrite everything: grow closer to him, reclaim the dream stage she was forced to give up, and bravely pursue the future she wants. But every change is like a butterfly flapping its wings. Can she really make up for all her regrets without unleashing a new storm?
Later, the whole school watches as the once-silent An Lingxia speaks at the student rally, shining brilliantly.
As the crowd disperses, Fang Yaochi stops her in the hallway. “Lingxia, you’ve been… different lately.”
An Lingxia gives a proud little huff. “Have I? Maybe I’ve finally figured things out.”
This time, she’s going to have it all!
Just when An Lingxia thinks everything is under control and a perfect ending is within reach, she discovers something during her final transmigration: the last page of the diary bears someone else’s fresh handwriting:
“The summer you most want to return to is right here.”
The signature below is Fang Yaochi’s bold, sweeping script.
