In the late Qing and early Republican eras, the world is in turmoil and foreign powers encircle the country. In Sichuan and Chongqing, the forces of the martial world intertwine with the hidden world of Taoist sects, as a contest over feng shui and national destiny quietly unfolds.

Qian Xiaochuan, known as "Young Chuan," comes from a Taoist family of Mount Qingcheng. Amid the chaos of the age, he searches for a way to revive the Taoist sects and save his country and its people.
