After transmigrating into the fallen heir of the Prince of Zhenbei’s estate, Lin Chen awakens the heaven-chosen Qilin bloodline when his fiancée humiliates him by breaking off their engagement in public! As the good-for-nothing makes his comeback and transforms from carp into dragon, the System that lets him seize other people’s destiny activates. Watch as he shatters conspiracies with the phantom image of a Qilin and turns the tables in the gilded palace of Empress Chu Wanqing.
At the broken-engagement ceremony, he crushes the marriage contract, turning the yellow sands into scales and making his scheming fiancée weep and kneel at the prince’s estate. At the Heaven-Worshipping Ceremony, his true Qilin form resonates with the empress’s dragon aura, creating the auspicious vision of “dragon and phoenix in harmony” and striking fear into the officials. In the northern frontier’s command tent, he skins a traitorous god of war, leaving the powerful ministers quaking. Better yet, he holds the military tally Princess Yunxi offers in his left hand and traces the nine-turn Gu markings on the back of the empress’s neck with his right. Watch how these two royal sisters join him in playing the game of power.
With the “Destiny Seizure” System, he can steal his enemies’ fortune, techniques, and lifespan, and even uncover hidden secrets. The skinning wine cup in the Chancellor’s estate, the curse seal revealing the empress’s origins, and the witch bloodline of Listening Snow Tower are all laid bare beneath his golden light. When the empress gives him a phoenix hairpin and the princess secretly slips him a tiger tally, he discovers that all three of them have been cursed by “Destiny Entwined.” The secret patterns on the Dragon Command and the Imperial Jade Seal point toward a stunning prophecy: “When the Qilin treads upon the dragon’s back, the heavens and earth shall turn upside down.”
Power plays and beauty intertwine; blood feuds and ambition dance together. Watch how this tear-mole-marked young man, with the bearing of a Qilin, crushes his foes beneath his feet and writes a legend of “holding all the world’s power by day, sleeping on beauties’ knees by night” between the empress’s dragon bed and the princess’s Wangshu Pavilion!
