Thousands of years after the end of the Buddhist scriptures in the West, there are undercurrents surging beneath the surface calm of heaven and the Buddhist world, and an era in which old and new forces alternate. The story spans the classic scenes of Journey to the West such as Tianting, Huaguo Mountain, Gaolaozhuang, Liusha River, and East China Sea Dragon Palace, while adding new areas corroded by darkness. Although Buddha Wutian was eliminated, his remaining dark seeds lurked for thousands of years and used the immortals' desire for "eternity" to make a comeback. The immortals in heaven have been corrupted to varying degrees.
