I, the Recap Streamer, Have the Whole Internet Doing Sit-Ups in Shock

As a rookie streamer, Bai Chen livestreams a countdown of the first music chart of his life!

[The Decade of Greatness chart! Join the streamer in ranking the top 100 Chinese-language hits from 2000 to 2009. These songs are incredible! They’re all monsters! You have to watch this on your knees!]

The moment the chart is revealed, the whole internet goes wild, sitting up and lying back down in disbelief!

Chubby Bro: What the heck, how did Jay Chou’s “Blue and White Porcelain” only come in at number two? I refuse to accept this! How can that be? What could possibly top it? The pressure’s on the number one song!

But when the top song is revealed,

Chubby Bro immediately starts apologizing like crazy on-stream: I’m sorry, I was wrong! A true god has descended!

Master Dong: Honestly, I’m just a culture streamer, but this countdown of classic hits has me completely hooked. It takes me right back to my youth! I’ve got to show some love for the underrated singer Sun Yanzi!

Listening to Springs and Streams: Xu Song’s “Why Not” only came in at number 79? Are you kidding me? This song can’t even make the top ten?

Bro Bao: No way, can you believe Jay Chou’s “Sunny Day” is only number 44? What kind of monsters are ahead of it? Was Chinese pop music really that terrifying back then?

That day, people were reminded just how astonishing the quality of Chinese pop music was twenty years ago.

When Bai Chen ranks the world’s 100 greatest anime scenes next, the whole internet is moved to tears!

Chubby Bro: No way, Ace’s death can’t even make the top ten? What is this, a curse?

Dai Meier: Come on, Tanjiro fighting the spider was a scene that blew up worldwide! It only came in fifth?

When everyone sees the number one scene, they fall silent as one!
