The Thirty-Ninth Heaven

These thirty-nine heavens have never been the promised land of cultivators.

Three Emperors guard the world, and myriad immortals pay homage to their sects. It all seems to be the supreme Great Dao, until the day the 'Heavenly Sacrifice' descended and I saw the rusty chains of blood above the sea of clouds...

So the souls of those who ascend never reach the Ninth Heaven.

"If the road to immortality was bait, then I shall use these thirty-nine heavens as my furnace

and forge a fire to slay the gods!"
