Jiang Xia, a Shanghai drifter, was hit in the forehead by the "loft dream" in Shanghai with a monthly rent of 2,000 yuan. She thought she had found a treasure, but found that she had fallen into the "Riddler"'s nest.
No. 37 Wutong Lane, the top floor of the old bungalow. Here live three roommates who are more fantasy than the rent: a programmer who types code to produce heavy metal rock, and communicates basically by brainwaves; a mysterious copywriter who drinks vodka as water and has the aura of a philosopher in his speech; and a cute kindergarten teacher who is dedicated to turning the kitchen into a biological and chemical weapon site.
Their style of painting is unique and their living habits are completely different, but they strictly abide by a strange shared house rule: "It is forbidden to share the past, and it is forbidden to inquire into other people's privacy. Violators will be responsible for the consequences!"
No one talks about the past, no one asks about the present, everyone is like carrying a heavy shell, guarding their secrets carefully. From the occasionally leaked data analysis of the Book of Songs, the words "unsolved cases" in old newspapers, to the crumpled fragments of hospital test sheets in the trash can... Jiang Xia gradually discovered that behind the closed doors of her heart, there might be a deeper whirlpool than she imagined.
And in the deepest part of the attic, the rusty [locked secret door] embedded in the wall seemed to be silently mocking the calmness on the surface.
Is this cheap rent, weird people, mysterious rules, locked doors... A gift from fate, or the entrance to a trap? Whose past and whose secrets are hidden behind the door?
Welcome to No. 37 Wutong Lane, a journey of secrets and exploration is about to begin.
