Story Overview: The story takes place in the fictional ancient dynasty of Great Yin, where the court is corrupt, eunuchs hold power, and the people suffer. Shen Xiao, the descendant of a renowned general from the previous dynasty, enters the martial world bearing the blood feud of his family’s slaughter. As he searches for the truth and pursues revenge, he meets Su Yueli, heir to the Heavenly Secrets Pavilion. Drawn to each other, they join forces and travel together.
As their investigation deepens, Shen Xiao discovers that an even greater conspiracy lies behind the massacre of his family: the eunuch faction led by Wei Zhongxing is plotting to overthrow the court and has allied itself with foreign enemies. Shen Xiao and Su Yueli unite heroes from across the martial world, with the help of extraordinary figures such as Lin Qianjue. Together, they unravel Wei Zhongxing’s schemes while seeking evidence that can bring down the eunuch faction.
Along the way, they face one crisis after another, including conflicts between martial sects, pursuit by the court, and foreign invasion. Through the trials of the martial world, Shen Xiao not only grows increasingly skilled in the martial arts, but also comes to understand the true meaning of a hero: serving the nation and its people. He transforms from someone driven solely by revenge into a protector of all under heaven, and in the end, joins everyone in thwarting Wei Zhongxing’s conspiracy and restoring peace to the land.
