Kissing You in the Dark

[Cold and unfeeling dark male lead + clear-headed, independent female lead + both leads are each other’s only one + six-year age gap + spans years + everyday life + ex-husband desperately chasing his wife]

Xu Tingli, six years older than her, initially thought Lin Zhao was a vain, calculating woman.

They spent three years together in a transactional relationship, but he fell for her so completely that he couldn’t pull himself away.

When he asked her with red-rimmed eyes, Lin Zhao ruthlessly drew a line between them:

“We were only conducting a transaction. I never loved you.”

He knew she was a bitter little melon with a heart full of bitterness, a poison that could eat through his insides, yet he still drank it down willingly.

She cruelly cut ties with him and disappeared without a trace for five years.

When they met again, she was a partner at a renowned venture capital firm, no longer a woman he could control and use as he pleased.

Seeing her thriving, surrounded by high-quality suitors, Xu Tingli was furious and resentful. “Miss Lin, you must have sacrificed quite a bit of your looks to get where you are today.”

Lin Zhao replied with a faint smile, “Didn’t you say I was the kind of woman who’d stop at nothing to get what she wanted? What’s a little use of my looks?”

Xu Tingli went mad with rage, pinned Lin Zhao against the wall, and kissed her furiously.
